immense respect and admiration for this driver that got out and filmed, while going back up the road to warn inbound truckers and cars there was a pile up ahead

  1. That guy deserves a mettle for valor. Listen to him heavy berthing to get way back behind the accident to warn the on coming traffic taking a risk of getting killed himself. Amazing. Wonder how many were saved by his heroics?

  2. Don't the truck drivers get on their CBs and warn other guys headed for the wreck to slow down?

    1. Based on the last 3 videos I've posted of truckers SMASHING into a pile up, no. There is no explanation for why these truckers aren't all over the blizzard pile up syndrome, but last years Michigan video, this springs Wyoming video, and now this? Truckers are not preventing pileups, and this video is the only example I've come across of ANYONE going back up the road to warn inbound vehicles... not a single flare among any video. Me? If I were a trucker, I'd have portable air horns like yachtsmen use, flare guns like yachtsmen use, and road flares, plus a cb network set up that all truckers would monitor. A simple "if it snows, monitor channel 13 (unlucky 13) for the "oh shit" tone, anyone hits the button, and everyone drops to 10 mph who can see snow... then flip to channel 14 for details on mile marker, road info, etc." You'd think insurance companies would create this system, require these flares, etc, just to cut down on payouts.
