the misery of trying to get the exhaust mated up, or effort to find a header that will worm right through this tiny available area without cooking the starter

  1. May be time to look at hydraulic clutch activation. Not cheap, but will clear up that space occupied by the bellcrank.

    1. not my car, not my problem. Just an example photo I found online at the link. Me, I won't lose my clutch pedal and swtich to flippers, or paddles, or whatever. I loved the stick shift since I was in 1st grade, and now that I have one muscle car and one commuter, and both are three pedal, I hope to keep it that way. Hydraulics? Just more things that can break, leak, or whatever. I'll stick to the old proven mechanical linkage, it's been good to me so far.
